Nurturing Potential,
Building Futures

Every person is born with a seed of greatness. We are here to water it.

Who We Are

ACASAI (After-school Study Assistance Initiative) is a Section 18A registered PBO. We were registered in September 2020 and have been operational since May 2022.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the organisation was dormant from 2020 until 2022, from when we became actively involved in the Parow community.

Recognizing the financial difficulties experienced by our communities, these services were initially offered pro deo. Currently, a nominal registration fee of R350 per annum is charged to assist with sustainability.

Our Solution

ACASAI has joined the crusade of teaching learners how to retain information, aiming to transform them into students with brilliant minds. We stick to the basics.

We recruit retired teachers and university students as volunteers to assist learners in Grades 4-7 and Grades 8-11. By recruiting university students, we close the mentorship gap for young learners while providing a platform for students to gain working experience, making them more appealing for corporate recruitment.

Over the last 3 years, we have assisted more than 100 learners to transition from the Intermediate Phase to the Senior Phase and others to the FET Phase.

Levi's Story

From Academic Failure to Community Leader

"In Term 3 of my Grade 7 year, I faced academic failure for the first time. I joined the ACASAI programme, which not only helped me improve academically but also transformed me on a personal level... Later, as a Junior City Councillor, I established 'Hearts of Tomorrow' and partnered with ACASAI to create a safe, nurturing space for children."
